This is Hannah, she called me one day to do a photoshoot and said "I don't want city buildings, rusty look... I want something like a giant field with trees on the horizon and to me that sounded easy enough.

We show up and she pulls out this awesome antique(ish) chair and asked if I wanted to use it or not; of course I did. It was extremely unique but also made for some fun shots. As for this shot its pretty tame nothing extreme here but I find a bit elegant.

My setup lighting-wise was my 580ex behind the chair on a light-stand and just off to the side of camera left was my wife holding a Vivitar 285hv both triggered by pocketwizards.

Enjoy, I'm trying oh so hard to start blogging regularly and started fixing up my site. I added a "Show the Original" feature so people can see the before and after.

Thunder N Lightning

Recently I got a job working for a guy I've known for awhile now. (Actually I was a fanboy of a local band he was in way back in the day).. Many people have been asking me what I do at "Integrity Lighting" and this is just one of our many things we offer. This is our DJ Rig known as Thunder-N-Lightning...I'm in the middle of photo shooting this for some brochures to advertise this sweet rig. Now, you all know what I do... Rays from heaven

This is another shot I grabbed while on tour. It's probably my favorite shot i've ever done scenery wise, I was so happy the sun rays showed up as well as they did. I had to dodge the mountains to make them pop a bit more than they did originally. There's something about this image that makes me feel somewhat accomplished. Not sure if its accomplished in my editing skills or photography or just the fact that I had the eye to see this quick enough to pull over and start shooting. But overall I love it and I hope you enjoy it too.

Ok I'm back. I've been extremely busy touring the country and now that I'm starting to get a groove of things I can finally relax and get back into this blog. This is northern Idaho. It was snowy and the roads were dangerous, we drove up and down lots of mountains where the roads were covered with snow and ice. Pulling a van and trailer in such conditions isn't exactly fun but definitely and can exiciting.

After making good time we see this hot springs lodge off the road and decided to stop and check into it. Well that happened to be a great idea because it was a natural spring that ran about 105 degrees and it felt absolutely amazing. I saw this sign where we parked and couldn't pass up the shot.

I hope you enjoy and it feels good to be back... now I just need to get people reading this again.

The Plot Line

I've been kinda lazy with posting new images and i'm really working hard to change that. This is a couple guys starting an acoustic act called "The PlotLine". They should have some material up soon. This is a pretty basic shot, I had the flash on a light stand about 6.5ft above them. I'll post another one either tomorrow or a couple days that I may like better still not sure. This is the same pier as the previous image. I honestly like this one alot, and I think it's mainly because of the boy in the picture having fun while his parents watch. St. Augustine Pier

It's been awhile I know! This was from St. Augustine, Fl. I took it last Thursday when I was in Florida for a show. It's an HDR and the only one I did of this trip. But I have another one of this pier i'll post in a few days.

The Dramatic Scene

This is actually 2 HDR images. I merged them to create a panorama of the scene, At first the sky was blue and the grass was green and I didn't really like it. So I tried to do a more dramatic approach and I really like the outcome compared to the first. I might post one more from this area. Thanks to those that add me as a bookmark ( on Photoblogs.org. I know..it's been forever. Good News is...there are some things happening with my band that I always dreamed of... just never really believed it would happen. I'll post more on that later. To keep my sanity, I have been doing couples alot... but nothing abstract which I miss alot.. anyways here is Joanna and Brant. You will notice that I used a flash for this... I tend to do that alot to fill in shadows especailly since we were around trees and it makes weird shadows on faces. Thanks to those that add me as a bookmark ( on Photoblogs.org.
